THERE will be a concert on Thursday, December 11th 2008 at Rosehill Theatre, Whitehaven, featuring songs sung during the Christmas Truce and extracts of letters written by the soldiers of this astonishing event.

The songs will be performed by members of The West Cumberland Choral Society, conducted by Dorothy Edger. Soloists will be Nicholas Lucas and Tom Lowrey while on piano is Alan Redhead.

Songs will include Long Way To Tipperary, My Little Grey Home In The West, See Amid The Winter Snow, Good King Wenceslas, O Come All Ye Faithful and of course, Stille Nacht.
